I Am

“I Am”
“God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’ “ Exodus 3:14
This pretty much sums it up, don’t you think? All else in the universe is temporary, and some things are just theories, but, if we are to take God at His word, “He is.” He is not a figment of our imaginations or a made up deity that we use as a crutch to lean on when our lives get tough and we don’t know what to do. He’s not a genie in a bottle to make our wishes come true, or a statue or carving that we worship to get the right kind of weather or protection from harsh elements.
If nothing else exists, He does.He is the cause and the origin of all things. He is not bound by time, neither in the past nor in the future. And, with this being said, we can know that He is with us, has always been with us, and will always be with us, if we belong to Him. He will always be by our sides, as He was with Moses, seeing after our needs and guiding us in His ways. He has always loved us, from the beginning of creation, and continues to love us, even until the end of time.
He is the only reason that we exist. Maybe we should start living like it.
